Underrated Books

There are a lot of really popular books and not a lot of them deserve the hype or popularity that they get (*cough* The Maze Runner *cough*). Here is a list of some of my favourite books that aren’t nearly as popular as they should be.

The Tiny Wife by Andrew Kaufman

This is a very short, very cute story and I don’t know why more people haven’t read it. It’s about 80 pages so you’ll definitely fly through it! It’s a little weird but I love it anyway 🙂

Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli

Stargirl is about a girl who is different from everyone else her age so she’s made fun of and laughed at but she doesn’t ever let anything get to her

The Diary of a Lottery Winner’s Daughter by Penelope Bush

This book is absolutely hilarious and not enough people have read it to appreciate it.

Wherever Nina Lies by Lynn Weingarten

This book is so fun and adventurous and Nina is such a mysterious character. It’s a great book!

Main Street by Ann M Martin

While Martin’s Baby Sitters Club Series is quite popular, this series doesn’t get as much recognition as it deserves. It deals with a lot of serious issues in a very easy manner and the books are really fun. Though meant for a younger audience, I still enjoy these haha.

The Look by Sophia Bennett

This is about a girl who becomes a model and she has a dying sister and it’s a really heartwarming lovely story.

You may or may not have noticed that most (all) of these are contemporary novels. All the fantasy I read is the popular books so if you know of some good, not very popular fantasy, do let me know! 🙂
