Hi! Hope you’re having a lovely day! I was a bit uninspired to blog for a while because I was a nervous mess for my 12th grade results but I did okay – I got a 93% 😀 Now that that’s over, I can finally relax and get back to reading/book blogging as per usual.
Last year I did a series of ‘Weekly Recap’ posts where I talked about what I was reading, watching, listening to etc and I’ve stopped doing those for a while so I haven’t talked about the TV shows I’ve been watching. And I have been watching a LOT of shows. So I thought that I’d share with you some of the TV shows I’ve been watching recently and share my thoughts on them.
Younger – 10/10
Younger is about a girl named Liza who is 40 but poses as a 26 year old in order to get a job.
This was a rewatch for me. I saw this last year and I still love it. It’s fun, it’s hilarious. The story is great. Each episode is only 22/23 minutes so it’s super quick as well. If you want a quick TV show to watch, I recommend this!
Friends – 8/10
You all know the plot – I don’t need to explain anything xD
I’m one of the only people who hasn’t seen this show completely yet. I started last year and wasn’t the biggest fan but one of my friends convinced me to give it another go but to start mid season 1 instead of the beginning. I’m really enjoying it this time around! I think it’s really funny and sweet. And again – short and fun to binge watch. I’m almost done with season 1 so I still have a long way to go though 😛
Scandal – 4/10
About a law firm that solves crime and its founder, Olivia Pope’s life.
I love How To Get Away With Murder which is why I started this show – thought it would be somewhat similar – but I just found this really boring. The cases in the show are interesting but I just don’t care about any of the characters or their lives. The romances in this show are so boring. I finished season one but I don’t think I’m going to continue the show!
The Flash – 7/10
Barry Allen is the fastest man alive. He uses his powers to fight and catch other meta humans and save central city.
I really like this show but it can be kind of slow at times. I love all the characters and there are a lot of fun moments. The plot twists are fantastic and I rarely see them coming. But there are several plot holes and I still have no clue how the time travel in the show works. The first season is the best, in my opinion. But the next two are great too.
Jane The Virgin – 9/10
In a medical mistake, Jane gets artificially inseminated and gets pregnant with the child of her boss.
I started this recently and am only a few episodes in but I absolutely LOVE it so far! I thought it was just gonna be a fun romance but there’s so much more going on. I love all the characters, I love the format of the show. It’s fantastic so far and I’m excited to continue binge watching this xD
Riverdale – 7/10
Archie comics in real life + murder. Cole Sprouse is the best.
Mixed feelings about this one. I think the storyline is really interesting and I’m so satisfied with the ending. The characters are great but they look too perfect to be teenagers? The acting isn’t the best either… Some of the dialogue is kind of cheesy. It’s an entertaining show but it’s not the best show around.
Cole Sprouse makes it worth it though. ❤
Pretty Little Liars – 6/10
I’ve been watching this show since 2012 but this last season is just awful. The finale better be good or I will just cry forever.
Teen Wolf – 8/10
A teenage boy is bitten by a wolf. He is now Teen Wolf. Bet you never saw that one coming.
I’ve been so behind on this show since 2015. I’m watching from season 5 now. I like this show a lot. It’s a lot of fun, the characters are great, the plot and all the fake history lessons are super interesting. Stiles is the my favourite fictional character of all time. I love all the friendships in this show! The fight scenes are really weird though xD It always looks like they’re dancing haha. I still love this and I’m excited to continue.
Big Little Lies – 9/10
A murder in a small town. Who did it?
This is fantastic. The characters, the plot, the acting, the cinematography – it was all perfect! I love the pacing of the story. I loved seeing the happenings of the small town and the kids were super fun to watch as well. There was an air of mystery throughout the show and the ending was really unexpected for me! My only criticism is that each episode was reeeeallly long, when it didn’t need to be. Highly recommend if you like murder mystery shows!
These are the shows I’ve been watching! What have you been watching recently? Do you like any of the shows I mentioned? Do you have any TV show recommendations – I’m always looking for new shows anyway 😛 Let me know!
